Successful test drive
We have executed test drive number 7 with our newest QUADRUM SteamMotor.
We achieved an astonishing total efficiency of 45% !!!
That's as good as the most effective turbo diesel with a high quality intercooler. Compare the difference between the QUADRUM and the regular power plants with steam turbines with a mere 15% efficiency.
We ran our test in compound mode, i.e. the steam coming out from the high pressure unit was passed into the inlet of the low pressure unit.
For later trials we will perhaps run the QUADRUM in triple mode. 10 bar steam pressure into high pressure unit and outlet connected to medium pressure unit inlet. The outlet connected to the low pressure unit inlet. The temperature of the steam on the outlet from the low pressure unit will be about 105 - 108 degrees centigrade. This return steam passes a 2000 to 5000 litre water filled energy store, e.g. for the heating of your home. This way the total efficiency will be near 100%. Go to the blog

- In Finland invented, internationally patented, dual cycle rotating piston steam motor.
- The steam motor has all the positive features of the 4-stroke, 2-stroke and steam turbine, but none of their weaknesses.
- The steam engine works very well using wet "rainy / filled with drops" steam.
- The steam motor has a minimal warm-up time compared to the traditional steam engine.
- The smallest steam motor unit has an effect of 3 kW.
- By fitting many units of the steam motor on the same shaft you can build up to a 30 kW power package.
- The steam motor is a very silent and effective alternative for boats.
- The steam motor will be license manufactured all over the world.
- Bigger steam motor versions up to 50 kW / unit are ready for manufacturing.
